Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) and laminate may look similar, but they're built differently and perform differently.
LVP is 100% waterproof, making it a great choice for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and homes with pets or kids. It's softer underfoot, quieter to walk on, and holds up very well to moisture and spills.
Laminate is water resistant, not waterproof. It has a wood-based core, so standing water can cause swelling if spills aren't cleaned up quickly. That said, laminate is typically more affordable and offers a very realistic wood look, making it a good option for low-moisture areas like bedrooms and living rooms.
Yes we do dispose of the old flooring and either haul it away or get a dumpster to stay on site during the project timeline.
